Feeding forceps -   Even though most of you feed parrots and use syringes and spoons, those of us who handraise mousebirds, mynahs, toucans and other softbills often need a good pair of forceps to aid weaning. In my case, they greatly aid my stubby fingers in stuffing fruit down greedy mouths! The stainless forceps are good quality, have a decent weight to them and are easily sterilized or put into the dishwasher. The plastic forceps are disposable, though they can be cleaned and cold-disinfected (dishwasher is not recommended). Plastic Feeding Tube -  18" long, size 8 French (3/32" opening), fits on any of the handfeeding syringes Pippin's Roost offers (seen below). Sterile packaging. 

 

Feeding Tube - 8-French size (really good for tiny babies and medicines), 15" in length, with 1 cm markings, it fits on the end of most feeding syringes, including the Pippin's Roost Long Nose. Made of clear flexible plastic, it comes in sterile packaging.

BAXA O-ring Syringe The exclusive BAXA syringe plunger is made of a silicone 0-ring sandwiched between two layers of plastic. This greatly increases the life of the plunger and allows for a smooth, steady "Push" of the handfeeding formula through the syringe. Syringes and plungers must be washed and disinfected carefully between uses, since food particles can get stuck between the layers of the 0-ring "sandwich." 10cc and 20cc syringes have offset tips; the rest have centered tips. BAXA Universal Medicine Bottle Adapter Never stick an oral syringe in a medicine or vitamin bottle again! This nifty gadget is a rubber stopper, graduated to fit almost any standard medicine bottle. BAXA syringe (except 60cc) will fit into the top, allowing you to tip the bottle up and draw out the required amount of liquid.
